Daily devotional: How then shall we live?

We have been rescued from our enemies so we can serve God without fear, in holiness and righteousness for as long as we live.
Luke 1:74-75 NLT

God has rescued us from something (Satan and our sin) for a purpose (to serve Him without fear, in righteousness and holiness)! Continuing in sin and selfish living is not an option.

Let us remember we are rescued! Hallelujah! And let us remember we were not rescued to just go on living for ourselves, but rather remember our purpose, which is to serve God without fear (what a gift to be able to serve without fear!) and to live holy and righteous lives.

Lord, thank you so much for rescuing me! And thank you for making clear our purpose. Please lead me in Your ways and into every opportunity for me to serve You. Thank you for taking away my fears. Holy Spirit, please keep working in me that I may live in holiness and righteousness and humility. I love you!
