Daily devotional: Seek God's kingdom first, not financial provision

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.
Luke 12:31 NLT

It is easy to think like the rest of the world and worry about financial well-being, employment, the economy, and even health. Jesus gave beautiful analogies to how much we matter to God and why we should not worry as the world does. Our primary focus should not be provision and consumption, safety and retirement. Instead, elevate God and spend my best time seeking Him. By trusting God and seeking Him first, I not only experience real life in the Kingdom of God, but God also meets all my needs!

Make seeking the Kingdom of God my first priority, and trust Him to provide for all my needs.

Lord, who am I that You should even bother to know the number of hairs on my head? I certainly am unworthy of your love and attention. Thank you for caring for me so beautifully. Please remind me when I am tempted to shift my treasures back to worldy things, or go beyond good stewardship to worrying about my financial well-being. Help me instead to keep Your kingdom front and center. Please continue to transform me and my life! I love you!
