"'And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.' The second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' No other commandment is greater than these."
Mark 12:30-31 NLT
Does my love for God and all those around me permeate my existence and character? Is it at the forefront of my heart and mind? Loving God with all that I am is more important than all the offerings or sacrifices I can give Him (v.33). And to what extent I love my neighbor is telling of whether God truly reigns in my life.
Reflect and act on this truth. Let my love for God and others be an ever increasing reality in my life.
Good morning, Lord! Thank you for this new day. Thank you for leading me, revealing Yourself to me, and providing for all my needs and much more. Thank you for all the "neighbors" You have surrounded me with in life. I seek to love You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength, and I seek to love my neighbor as myself because You have told me to and because it is a natural extension of Your character with Your great love and compassion for each of us. May You reign in my life and over all that I am. I love you!
