Daily devotional: Model for prayer requests

"Abba, Father," he cried out, "everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine."
Mark 14:36 NLT

Jesus' prayer in Gethsemane is a good model to follow.
  1. He fell prostrate before God.
  2. He identified with his relationship with God as His "daddy."
  3. He acknowledged that God is all powerful to accomplish anything.
  4. He made His request.
  5. He respectfully submitted to the Father's will, knowing that He knows ultimately what is best in the grand scheme of things.
Learn from and make use of Jesus' model when presenting requests to the Lord.

Heavenly Father, You are so good. Your mercies are new every morning. Your love, compassion, and faithfulness comfort me and overwhelm me. You are awesome. I respect You and acknowledge that You know what is best for me and in every situation. THank you for your Word and for the awesome model that Jesus gave us during His time on the earth. Help me as I seek to grow and look more and more like You each day. I love you!
