Daily devotional: Expect the miraculous

His disciples answered, "Where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed such a crowd?"
Matthew 15:33 NIV

The disciples' response, presumably after the feeding of the five thousand or at least in light of seeing His many miracles, seems to show that the disciples had a hard time breaking free from their human limitations. Jesus is the God of the supernatural, not limited by human capabilities.

Remember that Jesus is alive, and that He still has power to work miraculously. Do not corner Him into a limited role when we are in the middle of His work or when we are facing huge challenges. Instead, put our full faith in Him, trust Him, and expect Him to far exceed all that we could ask or imagine.

Lord, You are indeed awesome. I am definitely pondering what You have in store given these last two devotionals and with this same topic being covered by Terry with the staff. May I not ever confine my requests and expectations to what is humanly possible. Please grow my faith and help me to see enough to pray God-sized requests. And please give me more and more stories to share of Your miraculous interaction and divine provision. I love you, Lord!
