Daily devotional: The measure you use

"Consider carefully what you hear," he continued. "With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more."
Mark 4:24 NIV

God's Word is like a seed planted in us. If we do nothing to cultivate it, we are wasting it and it will not be effective within us. But if we take hold of it, seek out what it means, allow it to change our lives by putting it to use, and share it with others, then God will not only bless it but will also continue to give us even more.

Don't waste what God has given me. Take hold of it and put it to the best use possible. Go all in!

Lord, You are awesome and worthy of praise. Your wisdom and holiness is unequaled and impossible to fully fathom. Thank you for planting seeds within me. Thank you for growing me. Help me not to waste what you have given me. Help me to understand and latch onto Your Word, put it to good use, and share it with others. Just as I seek to maximize in everything I do, help me to maximize the benefit from each morsel of instruction, counsel, and direction that You impart to me. I love you!
