Daily devotional: God's equipping and work in us

May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV

This is a great prayer request and a declaration of how God is active in our lives. He equips us with everything good for doing His will and works in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ! That is my prayer, and that is enough for me.

Pray this as I keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of my faith (Hebrews 12:2). And realize that God is active in my life, equipping me with enough for doing His will, and working in me what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ.

Lord, I submit to You. Thank you for equipping me and working in me today and always. May You be glorified in and through my life. Thank you for disciplining those You love (Hebrews 12:5-11); may it train me and produce a harvest of righteous and peace. I love you, Lord!
