Daily devotional: Amazing grace and transformational power

But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.
Acts 8:3 NIV

I am so thankful for God's grace on us, His patience when we do not deserve it, His love when we deserve His wrath. When I see Saul's conversion and the amazing ministry the Lord gave him, I am comforted to know that God can take me with my sinful nature and my shortcomings and still use me too. There is nothing we can compare with the amazing transformational power that comes into our lives when we put our trust in God through Jesus Christ.

Praise God for transforming me! And don't forget to relay that to others who need to know God's love, grace, and transformational power He wants to give them too.

Father God, what a sweet and peaceful place it is to be under Your grace. When I could otherwise be overcome by my shortcomings and inability to consistently do what is best, I am thankful for Your grace. And I revel in the transformational power that made Saul the persecutor into Paul the evangelist and role model, knowing that it is that same transformational power You are applying to me! I am glad to submit to You and be molded by the Creator of heaven and earth into something beautiful and useful for You. I love you.
