It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them.
Psalm 44:3 NIV
Joshua 23-24 recounts how the Lord looked with favor upon the people of Israel and directed their paths. They did not accomplish the great and mighty feats themselves; it was the Lord who did it.
Remember that the Lord is working on my behalf so that I do not boast in my own abilities or accomplishments. Follow the "so then" instructions of Joshua 24:14-15: Fear the Lord and serve Him with all faithfulness, throwing away all the other things which could take God's place in my life.
Lord, You are awesome. I recognize Your great works in and through me, and I give You the glory and praise to which You are due. I rely on, submit to, and trust in You and Your ways. Thank you for the great things You have already done and will continue to do as I submit fully to You. Holy Spirit, please show me any way within me that needs to change and then give me the strength to do it.
