To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.
1 Corinthians 4:11 NIV
I can't help but think about if I passed by Paul and Apollos today, would I see them as powerful apostles worthy of respect and gratitude, or would I see them as "the scum of the earth, the refuse of the world" (v.13)? This is just a reminder that what the world sees as important does not equate to importance in God's eyes.
Don't judge by appearances, and don't use the world's value system to assign value and importance. Instead, see and value things with an eternal perspective.
Lord, thank you for this new day. Please help me to see things not as the world sees them, and value things not as the world values them. Help me instead to see things and value things from Your perspective. I love you!
