Daily devotional: Integrity

Scripture
"Here I stand. Testify against me in the presence of the Lord and his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Whom have I cheated? Whom have I oppressed? From whose hand have I accepted a bribe to make me shut my eyes? If I have done any of these, I will make it right."
1 Samuel 12:3 NIV

Observation
Integrity is of great value and cannot be easily reclaimed once tarnished. Samuel's integrity gave weight to his message.

Application
Let nothing stand in the way of my integrity, lest my message or my association with Jesus be subverted.

Prayer
Lord, I love you. Thank you for this new day, for Your generous provision, and for forgiving me of my trespasses against You. Holy Spirit, please speak loudly to me before I wound my integrity. Help me to always do what is right, and give me a strong message to lead people to You and to help others experience the abundant life You offer us.
