But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV
I see in myself the propensity to be prideful and conceited with my skills and accomplishments—what I can do in my power. I have had to learn lessons several times when the Lord pulled back when I was in this frame of mind, so that I could see that it is about His power, not mine. His grace really is sufficient for me.
Rest in the Lord's grace on my life. Don't trust in my power and my abilities but on His, and what He wants to accomplish. Work diligently but remember that success comes from the Lord, not from me.
Lord, You are good. You know just how to teach me. You have shown Yourself faithful time and time again. I acknowledge that You are supreme, and that You rule in my life and in every circumstance. Let me not become prideful or conceited. Your grace is sufficient for me, so I am grateful that my weaknesses are an opportunity to show Your power and strength. Be glorified in me and through me. I love you!
